Managed Storage is a key component of our Server Cluster Platform. Its size is infinitely expandable to store an unlimited amount of data, and makes it available to all of your servers simultaneously. Thanks to Managed Storage, you get the benefits of an enterprise storage system without the upfront costs. Your Managed Storage volume is mounted on your server via NFS, which means it's available just like any other directory. All data transfer between your server and our Managed Storage is FREE. Finally—inexpensive, infinite, centralized storage that just works.
How It Works
Our Managed Storage system doesn't use any buckets or containers, instead it comes up as a regular directory on your server. This means it can be integrated into any application without the need to rewrite any code. Whether you are looking to create an infinite volume to manage an ever expanding content set, or you want to take advantage of our Server Cluster Platform and scale your website, our Managed Storage solution is completely seamless and transparent allowing any of your servers to share the same data.
Share Files Across Servers
As part of our Server Cluster Platform, Managed Storage is used to give each server access to the same set of files. Files are available immediately for each server so that there is no need for complicated syncing scripts.
Automatic Snapshot Backups
To protect your data further all of your content is automatically backed up via snapshots which are taken daily. This allows us to restore any of your files from the past week. Because your data is of critical importance and we feel no Managed Storage solution is complete without a backup policy, this service is included with your Managed Storage package.
Scale Infinitely—On The Fly
With growing content sets it can be difficult to effectively plan for future growth, our Managed Storage is infinitely scalable, taking the guess work out of your planning your capacity. Just add more storage when you need it, pay as you go, and never worry about migrating your content, changing directories, or updating applications.
Highly Available
Unlike traditional RAID based storage solutions, our Managed Storage stripes data across all nodes and all hard drives. As we add nodes to grow space the system availability increases as your data is re-striped across the new nodes. This means your data is protected by hundreds of hard drives.
